What has happened with our schools? I certainly don't blame the teachers for the majority of this, I see blame on the school board, the board of education itself and the kids and parents of some kids.

Why do we still have trailers at many schools yet we can build a multimillion dollar baseball stadium? Nice priorities.

I think parents need to step up to the plate and start taking responsbility for their child's education. Get involved and support the teachers and the school your child goes to. Stop making it the teacher's responsibility of being the parent. Yes everyone is busy working 2 jobs this day in age but that is life and you need to make time for your children and their future.

Kids need to get respect for adults because this has been lost somewhere along they way. We may not have been the best kids growing up but we had respect for adults and this is something that parents need to start getting into their kids heads ASAP. Stop defending your child all the time and start teaching them some lessons. Both your kids an society will be better off.

The no child left behind has ruined the educational system. Face the facts, not everyone is on the same level and not everyone in this life is going to college or going to be successful. I'm not saying don't provide help as needed but don't hold back because others can't move forward.
